Major jolt to TMC as 26 youth members quit to join NPYF

According to Wanshwa Nongrum, the IPAC team which runs the show for the TMC consider party workers there as followers not leaders.

SHILLONG:

Twenty six members of the Pynursla Block Trinamool Congress on Saturday left the party and joined the youth wing of the National People’s Party (NPP) – the National People’s Youth Front (NPYF) after reportedly being disgruntled with the functioning of the TMC.

Wanshwa Nongrum, president of the youth wing of the TMC, who resigned said that they were with the TMC since December 2021, but as days went, they found that the way the party was functioning was not upto the mark in Pynursla constituency.

“There was slow progress of work in the party. We were not given the authority to function freely,” Nongrum said.

According to him, the IPAC team which runs the show for the TMC consider party workers there as followers not leaders.

“We are in the field to work for the party. But at the end of the all the work is being run by IPAC,” Nongrum said.
