SHILLONG:
A 24-year-old man, identified as Ishanbor Marwein of Khlieh Iew Nongstoin, was found hanging from a tree in Nongstoin in the morning of March 4.
The village headman, after being informed about the incident, reported the same to the Nongstoin police.
Later, the relatives of the deceased identified the body and informed the police that Marwein had left home on Friday at around 4:30 am. After the post-mortem, his body was handed over to the family.
The Nongstoin police, meanwhile, is conducting an enquiry to ascertain the possibility of foul play, resulting in his death.
