Mawkynrew legislator helps out school from constituency

The legislator donated a wheelchair to a differently abled student along with sports items like such as basketball, football, carrom boards and jerseys to the school.

SHILLONG:

Mawkynrew legislator and Cabinet Minister Banteidor Lyngdoh made donations in the form of cash and various items to Raid Lynshiang SSA and RMSA school in Mawkynrew, East Khasi Hills on Thursday.

The legislator donated a wheelchair to a differently abled student along with sports items like such as basketball, football, carrom boards and jerseys to the school.

For the convenience of the differently abled as well as other students, the legislator also donated Rs 1 lakh in cash for construction of a footpath.

The MLA also assured to donate two computers, a printer and two projector to the school.
“When I became the legislator of Mawkynrew constituency, I saw that the conditions of the schools were in a pathetic condition. For classrooms meant for 20 students, 60 were stacked inside,” he said.

Lyngdoh also informed that the tender for Lad Mawkhoh to Nohron road will be called for and construction will start soon through the PMGSY while asking the people to cooperate for the development of the constituency.
