SHILLONG:

The Meghalaya Cricket Association is pleased to announce that it will provide scholarship to Everbloom Nongrum, a young boy from Mawryngkneng who had received the Jeevan Raksha Padak Award from the President of India for fearlessly risking his life to save that of two of his friends on two separate occasions.

The young lad plays his cricket with East Khasi Hills Cricket Association.

In July 2019, another boy fell into a hole that had been left uncovered at a construction site but Everbloom was on hand to jump into the hole and save the other’s life.
