MGU conference on G20 Summit for sustainable, inclusive global future

With 1216 registered participants, the conference witnessed an overwhelming response, with 789 actively engaging in the proceedings. A total of 75 research papers were received, and 32 were presented during the Paper Presentation sessions.

The prestigious International Conference on G20 Summit: Shaping a Sustainable and Inclusive Global Future concluded at the Mahatma Gandhi University in Meghalaya, wherein leading diplomats, policymakers, academicians, scientists, conscientious citizens, and students from all around the world came together for the two-day event in a way that had never before happened.

Dr. Rajan Chopra, Chancellor of Mahatma Gandhi University, gave a thought-provoking opening remark to the conference, which was conducted digitally on July 24 and 25, 2023.

The university’s vice chancellor, Dr. Sagar O Manjare, gave the distinguished attendees a warm welcome and set the stage for some enlightening conversations.
The keynote speaker, Dr. Mohammad Israr, President of Maryam Abacha American University of Nigeria, was there, and his motivational speech captured the attention of the crowd.

The event’s highlight was the presence of Chief Guest Dr. Mohammad Israr, President of Maryam Abacha American University of Nigeria, whose inspiring address resonated with the audience.

Distinguished international keynote speakers, including Prof. Emmanuel Philip Ododo, Dr. Mujtaba Momin, Dr. Portolan Giulio, and Dr. Pravin Ingle, shared their expertise, enlightening the audience on critical global issues.

Notably, 12 eminent national speakers, such as Dr. Vinay Nandre, Dr. Bharat Bhushan, and Dr. Santosh Shelke, added to the diversity of perspectives, enriching the conference’s discussions.

The conference fostered interaction with four engaging Q&A sessions and two thought- provoking panel discussions. Virtual exhibitions showcased 39 captivating posters, while 301 participants actively took part in online competitions.

Dr. Sarika Dixit, the Registrar, anchored the conference, ensuring its smooth flow. Dr. Sunjit Bosumatary, the Conference Convenor, along with the Co-Convenors K.P. Sousa and Priyanka Goswami, played instrumental roles in its successful execution.

Dr. Dinesh Baishya, the Dean of Academics, extended unwavering support to the conference. The Organizing Secretary, Sibani Sarma, and committee members diligently worked towards making this conference a resounding success.

The Co-ordination Committee, led by Nishasmita Deka, Daily Grace Lamare, Virginia Mary Suchiang, Mahidul Islam, Hemanga Mazumdar, Sushmita Sen, Champa Bormon, and Biswajyoti Roy, ensured seamless coordination throughout the event.
