NONGPOH:
Unidentified miscreants stole one hatchback car bearing registration number WB 24 C 5699 along with cash amounting to Rs 25,000 from a resident’s house in Umling, Ri Bhoi, on May 26.
According to the owner of the house, one Bilincy Jana, a few unidentified persons entered her house when the occupants were fast asleep and stole money from one her purses and the keys of the hatchback car which was parked outside.
Jana said that when she and her family came to know about the theft, they immediately rushed to the tollgate plaza at 20 Mile to check the CCTV recordings. However, no evidence of the car being driven past the tollgate was found.
An investigation into the matter is underway to apprehend the perpetrators.
