Nongpoh, Feb 20: A 10 year old boy who went missing on Saturday has been found murdered in Umtangar village under Patharkhmah police station in Ri-Bhoi district, sending shock and fear across the area.
The young boy identified as Kitborlang Marbaniang, had left home with a friend on Saturday but failed to return. His lifeless body was found in a jungle near his home on Sunday night around 7 PM.
His body had injuries to the face and the forehead revealing the gruesome attack on him. He was the fourth sibling among six brothers and a sister.
The parents of Late Kitborland have filed an FIR with Patharkhmah police station and investigations are underway to identify and apprehend the culprit or culprits responsible for this cold blooded murder of a young child.
