A woman who had gone missing from Riwiang village in West Khasi Hills district, was finally brought to her village on September 28, following extensive search operation by the police.
According to reports, Khardewsaw had reportedly ran away and eloped with a factory worker from Shakambari Ferro Alloy identified as Mridul Bora.
Police informed that the search operation was launched following a complaint lodged on September 26.
Meanwhile, the woman is undergoing counselling at Nongstoin after all formalities have been observed.
Meanwhile, the HYC and the village authorities of Riwiang who had closed Shakambari Ferro Alloy Factory, demanding that it ensures a missing woman’s safe return, have allowed the factory to operate as usual.
