NONGPOH:
Nongpoh MLA Mayralborn Syiem, on July 28, met Power minister A T Mondal and requested immediate restoration of damaged electric poles and LT/HT electric lines in the state.
The MLA drew the attention of the death of Neverson Nongkseh, 40 years of Umshaken Village who died on the spot when his motorbike collided with a damaged electric line on the road which was lying unattended on the PWD road on July 26 at around 2 pm.
Terming the incident as unfortunate, Syiem called upon the Power Minister to address the issues which are happening every now and then in other parts of the state also.
At the same time, the MLA also requested the minister to expedite ways and means for the speedy release of compensation to the bereaved family members of the victim.
