MoU signed between Bank of Baroda and Assam Rifles

In case of death, the bank will provide cover to the serving and retired Assam Rifles personnel between the age group of 18-70 years.

GUWAHATI:

The Bank of Baroda, on February 15, announced that it has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Assam Rifles, the oldest paramilitary force, to provide the Baroda Central Forces Salary Package (BCFSP) to retired and serving personnel of Assam Rifles.

Speaking on the occasion, (Retd) Lieutenant-General Ranbir Singh Salaria, Chief Defence Banking Advisor (CDBA), said, “It is an honour for us (Bank of Baroda) to serve the Assam Rifles. We look forward to extending our best-in-class banking services to them. Our specially curated Central Forces Service Package (CFSP) supports the banking requirements of our national heroes and their families.”

The bank will also provide additional benefits such as Personal Accident Insurance (PAI) and a co-branded credit card.

The comprehensive bouquet of services includes free unlimited transactions at all bank ATMs and free remittance services – NEFT/RTGS online or through the branch, free debit card, travel cards, and 50 per cent discount on locker rentals, among others.

In case of death, the bank will provide cover to the serving and retired Assam Rifles personnel between the age group of 18-70 years. While Rs 43.75 lakh of PAI will go to on-duty personnel, Rs 35 lakh will go to off-duty personnel.

The MoU between the two parties was signed by Col P S Singh, Assam Rifles and Debabrata Das, Zonal Manager, Bank of Baroda, Kolkata zone in Kolkata.
