SHILLONG:
The Joint Action Committee (JAC), on November 8, clarified on the allegations made against North Eastern Hill University (NEHU) Vice Chancellor Prof Prabha Shankar Shukla, stating that the committee has not framed anything against the VC as they have all papers with them.
“He knows that he has done wrong, but because of his arrogance and lack of sensitivity not admitting his mistake,” the JAC led by NEHUTA president Prof Lakhon Kma alleged.
Stating that with JAC intensifying its agitation in days to come, the VC will succumb to the Committee’s demand, Kma said that the JAC will move the governor and president over Rohit Prasad’s appointment and violation of NEHU Acts, Statutes, and Rules and Regulations by the VC.
