No injury marks on body found at Boucher Road

 It was found that he had ecchymosis of the heart and samples have been sent to FSL for analysis.

SHILLONG:

Police said on August 16 that post-mortem had revealed that that there was no external or internal injury on the body recovered from a drain at Boucher Road here, on Tuesday.

Some media reports on Tuesday had claimed the eyes had been gouged out, which the police denied.

The deceased has been identified as Rishad Sing Kharmuttee of Mawdiangdiang.

His body was shifted to Civil Hospital for identification and post-mortem. On the same evening, the body was identified by the family members to be that of the missing person Rishad Sing Kharmutee, police said.

Rishad went missing on August 11 and he was last seen at Tynring bus stand at Iewduh.

It was found that he had ecchymosis of the heart and samples have been sent to FSL for analysis.

An unnatural death case has been registered at Shillong Sadar Police Station and a thorough inquiry is on to ascertain more facts of the case.
