NONGPOH:
The ongoing agitation against the killing of five people by Assam Police at Mukroh has affected local vendors who earn their daily wages by selling vegetables, meat and other produce in Nongpoh town areas.
The vendors said due to the ongoing agitation, they have suffered huge losses as vegetables and meat products have all gone bad.
They have expressed concern over the day to day state of affairs in Meghalaya while condemning the action of the Assam Police.
One of the local vendors also urged the state government to resolve the matter at the earliest so that normalcy and peace can return to the state.
