NONGPOH:
Peeved with the irregular supply of water in several areas of Nongpoh, local residents have sought the intervention of the Public Health Engineering (PHE) department, demanding that the matter be looked into on an urgent basis.
According to the residents, there is a shortage and irregular supply of water in many villages of Nongpoh as the department is not supplying sufficient water in these areas.
The residents are also suspecting that the PHE pipelines may be blocked with debris because of the monsoon season.
Stating that the villagers are having a tough time because of the disruption in water supply, the residents have urged the headman of different villages to take up the matter with the PHE department so that the water supply could be restored and regularised.
