NPP doubts if TMC will win more than 6 seats in Garo Hills

Conrad Sangma was reacting to the prediction made by Mukul Sangma, that the NPP will manage to secure maximum only five to six seats in Garo Hills in the 2023 Assembly elections.

SHILLONG:

National People’s Party (NPP) national president and Chief Minister Conrad K Sangma has expressed doubts that the opposition All India Trinamool Congress (AITC) will secure maximum seats in Garo Hills.

He was reacting to the prediction made by leader of Opposition, Mukul Sangma, that the NPP will manage to secure maximum five to six seats in Garo Hills in the upcoming 2023 Assembly elections.

Mukul had also claimed that “the data was revealed by NPP’s survey”.

When asked, Conrad refused to comment and said that he does not know what Mukul is talking about and which survey he is referring to.

He further stated maybe Mukul was predicting about his own party – the TMC.

“…maybe he (Mukul) is predicting about TMC. I don’t know what prediction he is talking about, and I don’t know if they will also touch that much or not. But we will wait and see,” the chief minister said.
