NPP submitted audit report on time: ADR

According to the ADR, for the financial year 2021-2022, the NPP received donations/contributions of Rs 43 lakhs.

The Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) and National People’s Party (NPP) were the only two parties which submitted details of their audited reports to the Election Commission of India.

Apart from the above two, the other national parties include Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Indian National Congress (INC), Nationalist Congress Party (NCP), Communist Party of India (CPI), Communist Party of India (Marxist) (CPI-M) and All India Trinamool Congress (AITC).

“Only BSP and NPP submitted their audit reports on time, while NCP, AITC, CPI(M), CPI, BJP and INC submitted after a delay of two days, two days, three days, 21 days, 53 days and 55 days, respectively,” the Association for Democratic Reforms (ADR) said.

According to the ADR, for the financial year 2021-2022, the NPP received donations/contributions of Rs 43 lakhs.

The eight national parties (BJP, INC, CPI(M), NCP, BSP, AITC, CPI and NPP) have declared a total income of Rs 3289.34 crore, collected from all over India.

BJP has shown the highest income amongst the national parties, an income of Rs 1917.12 crore during financial year 2021-22.

This forms 58.28 per cent of the total income of eight national parties during the year.

AITC declared the second highest income of Rs 545.745 crore which forms 16.59 percent of the total income of the eight national parties.
