SHILLONG:
The national president of NPP and Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad Sangma is hopeful that the party would be able to put up candidates in all constituencies for the next elections.
The chief minister visited the NPP Mylliem Block Office at Nongkseh 3rd mile, Upper Shillong on Monday. Speaking to reporters, he said that they are starting to organise the party and will explore all options as they move along.
“Yes, as a political party, it is our endeavour to see that we are able to put up a maximum number of candidates. So, definitely, we will be exploring and we will be working and we do hope that we will be able to put up candidates,” Sangma said.
The chief minister, however, refused to disclose further details on who the party will select to contest from Mylliem constituency.
