NRL joins hand with EIL for development of technologies

GUWAHATI:

Numaligarh Refinery Limited (NRL) has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Engineers India Limited (EIL) for the development and commercialisation of technologies.

The EIL is country’s leading engineering and technology consultancy.

EIL and NRL will jointly develop and license indigenous technologies under the MoU.

NRL is an operating petroleum refining & marketing company with an extensive product range covering most of the refinery streams while EIL is a premier engineering consultancy and technology licensing company in the fields of hydrocarbons, petrochemicals, fertilizers, metallurgy, ports & terminals and other sectors of industry, having a DSIR recognised R&D Centre.

The EIL holds a 4.37 per cent stake in NRL, and this MoU will lead to greater synergies between these two reputed oil & gas Public Sector Enterprises (PSEs) to develop and license indigenous technologies, contributing significantly to the vision of ‘Atmanirbhar Bharat’

The agreement was signed by senior CGM (CA) NRL, N Borthakur, and executive director (R&D) EIL, Rajib Aggarwal in the presence of senior officials from both organisations.
