NSS Youth Orientation Programme on SDG held at NEHU

Dr. Joram Beda IAS, Commissioner and Secretary to Govt. Meghalaya who was the Chief Guest; highlighted on the critical role of youth engagement in ensuring a better future for generations to come.

SHILLONG:

The State National Service Scheme (NSS) cell in collaboration with SDG cell Planning, Investment Promotion and Sustainable Development Department, Government of Meghalaya, organised a one-day workshop on December 4 at the North Eastern Hill University (NEHU) Campus on the theme “Meghalaya’s Youth for SDG Engagement”.

Dr. Joram Beda IAS, Commissioner and Secretary to Govt. Meghalaya who was the Chief Guest; highlighted on the critical role of youth engagement in ensuring a better future for generations to come.

The workshop was being attended by officials from SDG Cell Planning Department, Education Department, CRISP, State NSS officer, NSS Programme Officers and representatives of NSS from different Universities and Colleges of the State.

The collaborative effort between the SDG Cell and NSS stands as a testament to the growing recognition of youth volunteer as vital partners in building a sustainable future and to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in Meghalaya.
