SHILLONG:
Meghalaya legislator of Ranikor assembly constituency, Pius Marwein, has said that there are areas of difference between the old and new members in the United Democratic Party. Speaking at the General Meeting of UDP Ranikor Zonal Unit held at Ranikor, Marwein encouraged the UDP members to work as a team, as the Assembly election is knocking at the door.
Marwein, who is also the member of Khasi Hills Autonomous District Council, welcomed 100 new members belonging to National People’s Party, Congress and others to the UDP fold.
The meeting marked the election of new office bearers of the central body of UDP Ranikor zonal unit, women wing and youth wing. The meeting also affirmed the office bearers of UDP Ranikor primary unit and Pamdaba primary unit.
