SHILLONG:

Addressing media persons in Delhi today, Gandhi slammed Prime Minister Narendra Modi for “laughing and joking” in the Parliament yesterday.
“I could not understand how the Prime Minister of India can speak like this? Does the Prime Minister not know what is happening in our country? If he is not able to go to Manipur, at least he can speak about it,” he said.
Questionining that non-deployment of the Indian Army the conflicted areas of Manipur, the Congress leader said, “If the Indian Army wants, it can stop the violence in Manipur in 2 days, but the Prime Minister does not want to douse the fire in Manipur. This is the truth.”
Furthermore, Gandhi also hit out at Union Home Minister Amit Shah over the state of affairs in Manipur and said, “Thousands of weapons were looted from under Manipur CM’s nose. So did Amit Shah want thousands of weapons to be looted? Did Amit Shah want violence to continue in Manipur?”
