SHILLONG:
Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to visit Meghalaya on December 18 where he will be attending the golden jubilee celebration of the North Eastern Council (NEC).
Chief Minister Conrad K Sangma confirmed the news on December 13, saying, “Yes his (PM) program is confirmed and it is mainly for the NEC’s golden jubilee celebration.”
Sangma also said that the PM will be attending two other programmes, details of which will be shared later.
“He will be here for 2-3 hour and will fly back to Delhi,” he added.
According to the CM, all necessary security arrangements will be looked at from the SPG side.
