SHILLONG:
In continuation with the operation to bust drag racket in the city, and with the support and keen initiative of the Director General of Police Dr. L. R Bishnoi, the Anti-Narcotics Task Force (ANTF) of East Khasi Hills recovered another 10.78 gms of heroin from the house of peddler located at Demthring on May 3.
The peddler led the ANTF team to his suppliers at Demthring where poilice conducted a raid and seized of 10 soap cases of heroin weighing 140.02 gms and several other incriminating items taking the total seizure of heroin today to 218.88 gms.
Police in this regard arrested a couple (husband and wife) for running the drug smuggling racket.
