In a major reshuffle, the state government on Monday appointed R M Kurbah as Deputy Commissioner of East Khasi Hills district.
The current East Khasi Hills Deputy Commissioner S C Sadhu is transferred and posted as Director, Community & Rural Development, Shillong, with effect from the date of taking over charge and until further orders. He shall also function as secretary to the Government of Meghalaya, Community & Rural Development, Fisheries & Water Resources departments.
W Nongsiej, Deputy Commissioner, Eastern West Khasi Hills district is transferred and posted as secretary to the government of Meghalaya, Prisons & Correctional Services Department.
In his place G Kharmawphlang, Deputy Commissioner, South West Garo Hills district, is transferred and posted as Deputy Commissioner, Eastern West Khasi Hills District.
Swapnil Tembe, Deputy Commissioner, West Garo Hills District, is transferred and posted as joint secretary to the Education department and Director, School Education & Literacy and Special Project Director, SSA, with effect from the date of taking over charge and until further orders.
Jagdish Chelani, Deputy Commissioner, East Garo Hills district is transferred and posted as Deputy Commissioner, West Garo Hills District.
Vibhor Agarwal, deputy secretary to the Sports & Youth Affairs Departments etc., is transferred and posted as Deputy Commissioner, East Garo Hills District.
