Ri Bhoi Youth Federation (RYBF) met the doctor in-charge of Liza Mary Marbiang, a few days after the death of her unborn child. The family has alleged that the incident happened due to improper treatment at the hospital. They claimed that on the night of the incident she was advised to take 3 BP tablets of 5 mg together.
RBYF, led by their president Spirit Hinge and Secretary Bantei Tron visited the Bhoirymbong CHC and met the doctor in-charge Dr. T. Sutnga to find out if the allegations were true.
Dr Sutnga defended himself by saying they gave her the tablets only because her BP was very high when she was admitted. He said the tablets were necessary to control the situation.
After the meeting the RBYF leaders urged the hospital authorities and the general public to work in unison to prevent such an incident from happening again.They also expressed their sorrow to the Marbiang family for their loss.
