NONGPOH:
The Ri Bhoi District Sports Association held a send-off ceremony for the football team of the district on January 8, 2024, as they prepared to represent the district at the Meghalaya Games scheduled from January 15-20, 2024 in Tura.
The ceremony was attended by Mathew Makdoh in the presence of RBDSA officials, including the President of RBDSA, RB Shadap, among others.
During the ceremony, Mathew Makdoh emphasised the importance of teamwork and urged the players not to play for themselves but for the glory of the District.
“I wish you all the best, and we have high hopes for you to become the champions in the Meghalaya Games 2024 at Tura. With your hard work and dedication, the District will receive the glory of the champion from this event,” added Mathew Makdoh.
Furthermore, RBDSA announced that the send-off for the district’s participants in Athletics will take place on January 13.
