SHILLONG:
The Ri Bhoi Presbyterian Synod inaugurated its Silver Jubilee Celebration at Nongpoh Presbyterian Church on March 17.
Started in 1998, Ri Bhoi Synod also got its new office building on March 17. The ceremony was attended by Rev. B.B. Lamin, Moderator of the General Assembly of Presbyterian Church of India in the presence of the Moderator of the Ri Bhoi Synod and other Synods within the Presbyterian Church of India.
The Church Elder the Youth Fellowship and Women’s Fellowship of the Synod also attended the function, along with Nongpoh MLA Mayralborn Syiem.
To mark this occasion, the jubilee flag was also hoisted on this day.
Speaking to the occasion, Rev. BB Lamin said, “We hope that the Ri Bhoi Presbyterian Synod will rise and shine and preach the word of God to the world,” adding that 25 year is the age of a youth and the best age to work and serve for the glory of the Lord.
