NONGPOH:
The youth group from Ri Bhoi, known as “Synjuk Ki Seng Samla Shnong Ri Bhoi District,” led by Chairman Aristone Ryndongsngi and Adviser Banphrang Syiem, organised a blood donation event at Civil Hospital Nongpoh’s Blood Bank, with the support of HDFC Bank.
Aristone Ryndongsngi, the Chairman and a blood donor highlighted the importance of this effort as a first step towards helping the community. He said that donating blood is good for health and is also safe.
The leaders of Ri Bhoi Youth encouraged others to join in donating blood. They also shared plans to set up a Blood Donation Cell in partnership with Blood Bank Nongpoh. This cell will provide urgent blood when needed. Aristone added that performing acts of kindness, like donating blood, can save lives and bring hope to those who are suffering.
