SHILLONG:
Rikman Momin, on October 3, took charge as the new president of Meghalaya Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) during a formal induction ceremony held at BJP state office at Bivar Road in Shillong.
Briefing media persons, Momin informed that the party will continue to work together, including the outgoing president who will be helping the new president.
“I am ready to strengthen the party with the help of all my Karyakartas and combined teamwork,” Momin said.
Asked about his other priorities, Momin said that as of now his aim is to look after the party and guide it.
Deliberating on the preparations for Lok Sabha elections, Momin said that as soon as the order comes from the centre, the party will start working and stratagising things.
Stating that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has done a lot for the country through different central schemes, Momin maintained that his objective will be to make people aware about the schemes and give them to the public.
