BJP Kisan Morcha president Justice Syiem, on September 11, said former Mawsynram legislator Himalaya M Shangpliang has never delivered anything to the party in his 9 months’ journey in BJP.
In his statement, Syiem said, “Last few months after the Elections when the State Kisan Morcha was reshuffle its State Executive, I had personally asked Mr Shangpliang several times to give names for Kisan Morcha organisational responsibilities in the State and also constitute the Kisan Morcha Mandal Mawsynram but in all occasions he told to me that he is busy with Government assignments and he will get back to me but in reality he has never delivered anything to the Party in 9 months’ journey in BJP.”
Terming Shangpliang’s allegation against the state president Ernest Mawrie as totally baseless, he said that the concerned person within a span of last 6 years political journey has changed his political ideology for the 4th time till now.
Syiem said in Shangpliang’s 9 months journey in the party and 6 years political career he has not even understand that a political workers does voluntary work and Party assigned the responsibility to any of its cadre on the basis of his available time skills and experience, Matilda Kharbuki or even when his cousin brother was assigned responsibilities in the party the same yardstick was followed so the word nepotism is completely fallacious here.
“His charge on Political appointments itself is self-explanatory. His statement substantiates that he joins some Political Party only for Political gains, and not for either the ideology of the Party or for the development of people. There were 100 more important workers in the Party who worked selflessly and deserved rewards, and therefore only the Party is authorised to take a decision on the matters of rewards, Shangpliang had just joined last November and was given full logistic support to win the Election, unfortunately he failed to do so. Had he been an ideological Party man he would have waited for the time when the Party gives responsibility to him,” he stated.
