SHILLONG:
The key officials and organising committee members of the 2nd Sohra International Half Marathon conducted a thorough ground inspection of the marathon route on September 25 from Laitsohpliah to Sohra.
Led by Isawanda Laloo, IAS, Director of Sports and Chairman of the Organising Committee (OC), the inspection aimed to ensure all logistical aspects were in place for a successful event.
Joining the inspection were notable figures including John F Kharshiing, Working President of the Meghalaya State Olympic Association (MSOA), and Co-Chairman of the OC, along with H Nayak, IAS, SDO of Sohra Civil Subdivision, and Finely L Pariat, the Organising Secretary of the 2nd Sohra International Half Marathon 2023.
Representatives from the Police, Health, and Sports Departments, as well as members from the Athletics Association, were also present.
