Shillong:
An awareness rally was organised by faculty and students of The Holy Child Hr. Sec. School in Shillong’s Demthring in collaboration with the National Health Mission, Government of India for various schools, from April 14 to 20 themed – ‘Tobacco Vs Environment.’
During the rally, public awareness placards were displayed to inform about the adverse effects of smoking or chewing tobacco.
The event involved two activities, a “rally against tobacco” and “a signature campaign” in which students of Holy Child Hr. Sec. School actively participated.
Over 550 students and 20 faculty members rallying in the streets of Demthring vicinity participated.
