Meghalaya minister for PHE, Soil and Water Conservation, Housing, Marcuise N Marak, on Monday distributed nutritional support to TB patients under Community Support or Nikshay Mitra at Nengmandalgre village, in Williamnagar.
The chief guest distributed nutritional support and highlighted the Pradhan Mantri TB Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan initiative by the Government of India, further informing that patients must not be worried because community support is being provided to them with the help of the District Tuberculosis Centre. He also urged the patients to take medicine regularly and maintain cleanliness which will help in early recovery.
The keynote address was delivered by Dr S R Marak, Senior Medical and
Health Officer, MO-TC of Williamnagar District Tuberculosis Center. Deputy Commissioner Vibhor Aggarwal and Dr Ivory A Sangma, DM&HO also spoke at the event. The vote of thanks was proposed by Sengchrang B Marak, District Tuberculosis Coordinator.
