The 119 Infantry Battalion (Territorial Army) Assam, and the localities of Lawsohtun, Lumshatsngi, and Kench’s Trace came together for ‘Unity Run 2023’.
The event, aimed at fostering stronger ties and mutual respect, saw participation by children as young as 4 to seasoned veterans aged 75, embracing the spirit of togetherness.
Aimed at celebrating unity, resilience among different communities, the run saw distances ranging from 2.5 km for little ones, 5 km for leisurely walkers, to the more challenging 10 km for avid runners,
As families, friends, and neighbours cheered on the sidelines, the sight of children running alongside army personnel sent a powerful message of unity and shared purpose.
