TIPRA bats for all-party meet to tackle unemployment in Tripura

Pradyot Debbarma said that if all the state political parties can sit together prior to the election to stop violence then why can’t the same be done to solve the burning issues of unemployment among the youth.

AGARTALA:

In a bid to address the burning issue of unemployment among the state’s youth, Tipraha Indigenous Progressive Regional Alliance (TIPRA) chief Pradyot Debbarma, on July 12, urged all political parties to come together and form an uniform policy in this regard in an all-party meeting.

“We should sit together and discuss how we can solve the unemployment issues in Tripura and create jobs. If we sit and can discuss the hike in salaries of members of district councils, MLAs, and minister, why can’t we sit together to hold a discussion on how we can form a uniform policy and increase the number of jobs for the youth,” said Pradyot.

Debbarma said that if all the state political parties can sit together prior to the election to stop violence then why can’t the same be done to solve the burning issues of unemployment among the youth.

Speaking with The Meghalayan, Pradyot said irrespective of ideologies, each and every political party should sit and discuss how more and more jobs opportunities can be created for the youth.
