MAWKYRWAT:
The Trinamool Congress (TMC) organised a special meeting for the women of the Mawkyrwat Assembly Constituency in South West Khasi Hills district, on Thursday, at the playground of Mawkyrwat Nativity H S School, Mawkyrwat.
Aiming to strengthen the party, the women folk who attended the meeting stressed the need for representatives who have the ability, capacity, brain and responsibility.
Long-distance runners Kmoiñ Wahlang from Shngimawlein village and Snora Lyngkhoi from Nongbah Marshillong were felicitated during the meeting. The programme was concluded with a cultural programme by TMC units of Mawkyrwat.
The meeting was graced by TMC candidate of Mawkyrwat Assembly Constituency, Sounder Strong Cajee along with other TMC Mahila members, Vice President Kathleen Marbaniang and Joint Secretary Mary Tiewla.
