Tripura district council signs MoU with Apollo

AGARTALA:

To provide better health facilities among the indigenous people living in Tripura Tribal Areas Autonomous District Council (TTAADC), the administration of the council on Thursday signed an MoU with Apollo Hospital.

The executive member of health, Kamal Kalai, said that the district council authorities have taken special initiatives to provide quality healthcare among the people in rural areas and therefore, in the presence of advisor and chairman of the Administration and Reform Committee, Pradyot Bikram Kishore Manikya Debbarma, an MoU was signed between the representatives of TTAADC and Apollo.

The executive member of health further informed that after this MoU Apollo will provide telemedicine, tele-emergency, tele-ICU and a mobile hospital.
He further informed that the patients at Kherangbar Hospital in Khumulwng, which hosts the headquarters of TTAADC, would be treated by telemedicine by experienced doctors at Apollo in Hyderabad, Chennai, and Delhi.

The official further informed that a mobile hospital would be set up with the help of Apollo to enhance the health services of the people in rural hamlets in TTAADC.

“The mobile hospital would have the necessary infrastructure for treatment. It will also have tele-treatment facilities,” Kalai added.
