Prominent UDP leader from Bajengdoba Nexton Marak, and 1000 of his supporters joined the Meghalaya TMC on February 11.
Marak and his supporters were inducted into the party fold by Leader of the Opposition, Dr. Mukul Sangma, and Meghalaya TMC leader from Bajengdoba, Ashish Marak..
Marak contested the 2021 MDC elections on an NCP ticket and gained a significant vote percentage. He was also a former member of the NPP and actively campaigned for MLA candidate Pongseng Marak.
