Hills State People Democratic Party (HSPDP) of Mawkyrwat Circle on Monday welcomed the vice-president of United Democratic Party (UDP) Mawkyrwat Circle, Losmandar Marwein and his supporters to the party.
The new members who left UDP to join HSPDP were welcomed by HSPDP Mawkyrwat working president, Medalsing Lyngdoh at a function held at the party’s office at Mawlangwir in South West Khasi Hills district.
Speaking at the function, Marwein said he has no grudge against the UDP and leaving the party was his personal choice.
He added as a small leader of the party holding the vice-president post of UDP Mawkyrwat circle he was kept in the dark about the function of the party managed by bigwigs like Renikton Tongkhar and others.
