MEGHALAYA:
Voice of the People Party (VPP) president Ardent Miller Basaiawmoit on February 22 visited Nongstoin to garner support for party candidate Bobby Kharshandi.
VPP leaders and supporters took out a rally from the main Nongstoin and culminated at the market complex with a public meeting.
According to Basaiawmoit, the VPP was established with a goal for the next 50 years rather than a single day, adding that the meeting was conducted to discuss how to leave a lasting impression on the generations to come.
He added that Meghalaya is the poorest state among other states because of rampant corruption, and the government does not dare to admit that its pocket is empty.
