SHILLONG:
The Voice of the People Party (VPP) will not extend support to any candidate contesting the Sohiong election and has dubbed claims of support as “baseless”.
The VPP president, Ardent Miller Basaiawmoit, told The Meghalayan on April 3, “It is very wrong of people to claim that the VPP will extend any support. It is not true and we will not support any candidate.”
The VPP leader said that the party is new and did not field any candidate in Sohiong.
