Woodland Institute of Nursing holds 1st Convocation Ceremony 

Health Minister Ampareen Lyngdoh attended the programme as the chief guest, in the presence of NEHU professor N Saha, Managing Director of Woodland Institute of Nursing Dr W Kharshiing, Assistant Director of the institute Dr M Marbaniang, among others.

The Woodland Institute of Nursing, under the aegis of Woodland Hospital, Shillong organised its first Convocation Ceremony for nurses who completed their courses for the 2020-2021 academic session, at Laitkor.

Health Minister Ampareen Lyngdoh attended the programme as the chief guest, in the presence of NEHU professor N Saha, Managing Director of Woodland Institute of Nursing Dr W Kharshiing, Assistant Director of the institute Dr M Marbaniang, among others.

Nine students who performed well in the examination were felicitated and presented with awards. All the successful students were presented with a certificate.

Addressing the gathering, Lyngdoh lauded the founders of this institute for their contribution towards the health sector in the state, and appreciated their effort in grooming the youth of the state and the northeast as a whole.

She also said that Meghalaya needs nurses and care-givers who are committed to serve the people of the state.

It may be mentioned that there are at least 116 students who passed out from this institute, of which 35 are into B.Sc NSG, 54 in Post Basic B.Sc NSG and 27 in GNM.
