3 persons arrested in connection with Mahadev Khola incident

SHILLONG:

East Khasi Hills Superintendent of Police, Sylvester Nongtnger, on July 25, informed that three persons have been arrested in connection with the Mahadev Khola incident, where reportedly a lady was attacked by a group of persons.

“After we identified the footage from CCTV installed at the temple premise, we identified the miscreants involved in the incident, and on July 24 night launched an operation and apprehended three persons, along with two juvenile boys,” he said

He said a case has been registered at Lumdingjri Police station, and the three persons will be produced before the court, and the two juveniles will be dealt with as per the DGP Act.

Nongtnger further informed that interrogation will be done properly and action will be taken as per the law.
