AICC irrelevant in politics, confident of BJP’s win in 2023 polls: Tripura CM

On the landslide victory of BJP in Manipur, UP, Uttarakhand and Goa, Deb maintained the results are an acknowledgement of development achieved under the leadership of the Prime Minister.

AGARTALA:

In view of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) sweeping four out of five assembly polls in the country, Biplab Kumar Deb, on March 10, said that BJP will win in the state Assembly polls, scheduled for 2023. He also claimed that the All-India Congress Committee (AICC) has become irrelevant in national politics.

“Congress received around 2 per cent vote in Uttar Pradesh, which proves they are nowhere; even after she (Priyanka Gandhi) was announced as the chief ministerial candidate of the state. This reflects the present condition of the party. The AICC is irrelevant in politics because people of India no longer believe in dynastic politics. Rather, they believe in Prime Minister Modi and his way of politics,” he told the press.

Stating that the ruling BJP works for development in Tripura, he yet again stressed on the positive changes that have happened in “these four years”.

“The Centre works for the development and we are carrying the same vision in Tripura. For instance, look at how GB Pant Hospital is performing now. Development requires a positive mindset, which we have. I believe we will win in Tripura as well,” the chief minister added.

On the landslide victory of BJP in Manipur, UP, Uttarakhand and Goa, Deb maintained the results are an acknowledgement of development achieved under the leadership of the Prime Minister.

The chief minister stated, “Uttar Pradesh election results have broken its 37-years-old pattern to ensure BJP retains power in the crucial state. The message – that Yogi Adityanath’s model of governance against corruption, mafia raj and goonda raj has been well received by the people, irrespective of caste, creed and religion – is loud and clear.”
