SHILLONG:
The State government is going ahead with the National Education Policy (NEP) in the state, and all the colleges affiliated to NEHU have implemented the policy, informed Education Minister Rakkam A Sangma on September 5.
Speaking to media persons on the challenges with NEP, Sangma said that the government is aware of those, and taking steps to address issues, including appointment of faculties and improving infrastructures.
“509 posts for lecturers, teaching and non-teaching staff have been sanctioned in the last 2 years in 20 colleges to address the challenges of NEP demand,” he said.
He said that the government will constitute a text book review committee as the government has launched the National Curriculum App.
