Ampareen demands apology from Kirti Azad for disrespecting ‘Jymphong’

“I demand an immediate apology,” she said, adding that the state TMC party should explain as to why such a statement was made at a time when the party is making its innings in the state.

SHILLONG:

National People’s Party (NPP) leader, Ampareen Lyngdoh, said that TMC politician Kirti Azad should have been careful when he made the blanket statement and said that he should not have targeted someone who he does not like and take a dig at the outfit that the person is wearing.

“I demand an immediate apology,” she said, adding that the state TMC party should explain as to why such a statement was made at a time when the party is making its innings in the state.

Terming it as very distasteful, she said that is not a time to make lame statement especially when the outfit is a gift to the Prime Minister Narendra Modi

“We are proud of the Jymphong and every Khasi male should appreciate it,” she said.
