TURA:
South Garo Hills district police, on June 10, seized substantial number of Phensedyl cough syrup from a house in Gasuapara border area.
The Anti Narcotic Task Force (ANTF) of the district police received credible information about presence of a large quantity of contraband items that had been stored in a house near Gasuapara, following which the team raided the house of the suspected person, identified as Badal Koch of Kadamboka and recovered 256 Phensedyl bottles with a quantity of 100 ml in each – total 25,600 ml/25.6 kgs.
The police were able to arrest all the suspects, namely Badal Koch, along with Dilgrak M Sangma and Sengbath R Marak, both residents of Purakhasia, West Garo Hills district.
Cases have been registered at Gasuapara police station.
