SHILLONG:
Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) state president Ernest Mawrie, on January 19, informed that as per assessment, the party has the potential to win 10-15 seats in the upcoming Assembly election.
Mawrie said that this assessment was done by the party as well as independent agencies.
According to him, the party expects seats from Shillong and Tura cities, the plain belts of Garo Hills, Ri-Bhoi and Jaintia Hills.
Mawrie also informed that the BJP will put up candidates in all the 60 seats even as he informed that the list will be announced soon.
The state BJP chief also informed that so far there are 123 aspirants for the party ticket in Meghalaya.
