The West Shillong Block Congress Committee (WSBCC) in its meeting held on Monday unanimously recommended Bethleen Dkhar as the candidate for the election to the Meghalaya Legislative Assembly.
Dkhar has 15 years of teaching experience. She finished her Post-graduation in English from NEHU in 1998. She was a faculty in the English Department of Krsitu Jayanti College, Bangalore and also a former faculty of ICFAI University, Meghalaya. She is the great immediate grand-daughter of U Soso Tham and the daughter of former Chairperson Meghalaya Public Service Commission, Alvareen D Dkhar.
The meeting also congratulated Omarlin Kyndiah, advisor of WSBCC for being appointed as the president of Shillong City Congress Committee.
