Nongstoiñ March 1: A 54 year old man riding his bike lost his life after his two wheeler skidded and went under the rear tyre of a truck at Mawïaban Village in West Khasi Hills District.
The biker, identified as Phrailannes Nongsiej (54 years old), was a resident of Mawranglang Village, Mawranglang South West Khasi Hills.
According to the police report, Nongsiej was riding near one HP Petrol station at Mawïaban when his bike, bearing registration number ML-06-4170, skidded and came under the rear tyre of the truck, bearing registration number ML 06-A- 2572, driven by one Obarlin Sohshang a resident of Mawsaw West Khasi Hills District.
Nongsiej succumbed to his injuries on the spot.
